Big Bad Boo Studios

Big Bad Boo Studios is a state of the art 2D animation facility located in Vancouver's hip and beautiful Yaletown district. It is the largest Toon Boom studio in Western Canada and offers a full range of animation production services for clients and original shows alike. Our team specialized in Toonboom Harmony animation as well as Flash 2D animation. We are big on delivering shows on time and on budget. We leverage Canadian and provincial government tax credits, enabling us to produce shows at competitive rates.

Big Bad Boo's talented team, compromised of Emmy Award winning and Leo Aware winning members who can assist your projects with a variety of services, including but not limited to: story writing, story editing, character designs, layout design, color, background design, storyboarding, voice-over recordings, voice direction, model building, posing, animation, special FX, composition, editing, animatic and leica creation, music composition, and much more.

Our team of producers, writers and directors have worked on some of the most coveted properties in the animation world, including Animaniacs, Winnie The Pooh, Tiny Toons, Bat Man, 1001 Nights, Mixed Nutz, Lili and Lola and a host of others.

As a Canadian Studio, we are also interested in coproduction opportunities on projects with other countries. Our sweet spot age groups remain the preschool (3-5) and older kids audiences (6-9). The creative team at Big Bad Boo is entrepreneurial, energetic and very accomplished in both the business and the creative world.


Big Bad Boo Animation Studios is located in Yaletown, Vancouver, at the corner of Hamilton and Davie Streets. Our New York Sales and Distribution Office is in the heart of downtown Manhattan at Broad St and Beaver.
